Florida artist Kristen Abrahamson, finds her natural surroundings constant inspiration. Abrahamson's easy-going southern spirit reflects a friendly and happy style. As you journey though and view her prolific collection of work, you'll notice a common thread of brilliant color bursting with life and energy.  Abrahamson inherited her grandfather's brushes, paint boxes, and the gift of painting when he stopped painting in his late 80's. As Emile Zola stated, "the artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work."

Artist Statement

The desire to create art has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.  My natural surroundings and tropical travels are my constant inspiration.  Born and raised in Florida, I have long enjoyed the beauty this area affords.  I find the ocean beaches to be some of my favorite places.  Although I have worked in almost every medium, I now favor water-based mixed media.  I'm blessed to enjoy painting every day and giving back.  Hope you enjoy my work!
