"Hand embellished” print on canvas is also referred to as a giclée. A giclée print on canvas on which an artist has applied their unique touch over areas of the image, making a giclée look even more like an original than it already does.
After receiving the canvas print back from the printer, Kristen adds her signature. Then she applies brush stokes over the entire surface with a combination of paint and a thick, clear acrylic medium in order to increase texture on the surface and make some of the colors stand out. The extra dimension makes it look more like an original. Plus, since these extra steps are done by hand by the artist, no two embellished prints are exactly the same!
